Participating businesses within the social district boundaries have been divided into two different types of stops: Shop Stops\, which are retail-based\, and Sip Stops\, where you can purchase a Local Spot beverage. \nHow to Participate:\n1. Grab your passport! You can pick up a Local Spot Passport at any participating Sip Stop\, The Depot (220 N Salem Street)\, or download a PDF and print it at home! \n2. Sip\, shop\, and collect signatures! Grab a drink or just stop into Sip Stops and Shop Stops and ask for a signature in your passport. No purchases are required at either stops to collect a signature\, but supporting local businesses is highly encouraged. \n3. Submit your completed passport at The Depot\, open weekdays from 8 am to 5 pm\, to be entered to receive a Local Spot Summer Prize Pack! Participants may submit their completed passport after business hours by dropping it off in The Depot mail slot. \nThe Local Spot is a designated Social District in downtown Apex where visitors can enjoy alcoholic beverages from participating businesses while walking around downtown\, eating at restaurants\, stopping in participating retail shops\, and exploring public areas! DESCRIPTION:Apex Stands United Against Hate\, an Apex Community Engagement evening hosted by Apex PD at the Nature Park on October 21st from 1700 until 2000. We will kick the event off with an open discussion about hate and how we can stand against it in our community\, followed by a unity walk on the nature trail and a community handprint collage mural\, where participants will have an opportunity to put handprints on the large mural which will be displayed at the Nature Park for a time following. Music and food will be provided. We intend this to be a family friendly event and welcome all youth in the community to attend!\nThis event is planned to coincide with National United Against Hate Week 2026.
